Hi, I’m Alex, the grower behind Slice of Pie Homestead.
What started as a suburban backyard hobby and a love for gardening has grown into something bigger, and I’m so excited to finally be able to share it with my local community.
Today, our backyard “microfarm” in Westfield, MA is home to fresh-cut flowers, seasonal plant starts, and a growing collection of dahlias. We have 60 named varieties in 2026 and counting (yes, I’m a little dahlia-obsessed).
This is truly a family-run effort. My husband plays a huge role behind the scenes, helping bring this space to life through irrigation, maintenance, and building out the structures that keep everything growing.
While our farm is our backyard and not open for public visits at this time, we do offer local pickup and will be popping up at select farmers markets this season.
At the heart of it all, Slice of Pie Homestead is about sharing the joy of flowers, connecting with our community, and helping others discover the magic of growing, whether that’s through a bouquet, a tuber, or a plant you can make your own!
